The Samsung Galaxy S4 might be a great phone, but not everyone wants or can afford a high-end phone. These smartphone shoppers in their large numbers always look for the best in the mid-range, which explains the staggering success of the mid-rangers like those in the Galaxy Ace series. The next in the series, the Galaxy Ace 3 has been rumoured for long, but there has been no concrete information on the smartphone before this.

The Droid Guy discovered the benchmark scores for a Samsung smartphone GT-S7272, which, an earlier rumour claimed, is the Galaxy Ace 3’s model number. According to the benchmark results, the S7272 handset was tested with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean running. An Ace 3 variant the GT-S7270 was also on the site and it was tested with Android 4.1.2  running.

The specs on the benchmark results say that the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 has a display with a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels, but there’s no idea of the screen size. We can also see that the processor is manufactured by Broadcom and that it’s maximum clockspeed is 1GHz. By all indications, it will be a dual-core CPU. GPU will be a VideoCore IV HW unit previously used on the Galaxy S2 Plus. Amount and type of RAM finds no mention in the results. The processor is a good upgrade from the Ace 2's dual-core 800 MHz NovaThor processor, which had great power efficiency, but wasn't the speediest CPU.

Earlier rumours have given us an idea of the specs of the Ace 3. Screen size is said to be 4 inches and it was thought to have a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. However, the CPU has now been shown to be a different model.

The Ace 3 will allegedly have a 5 megapixel camera on the back. Other rumoured specifications of Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 are 4 GB internal storage, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 1500 mAh battery. The rumour further stated that the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 might be a dual-SIM smartphone, which didn’t come as a surprise considering the last digit in the rumoured model number. The rumour also said we could see the Ace 3 in four colour options  – Metallic Black, Metallic Blue, Pure White and Wine Red.
