The S Duos 2 replaces the Galaxy S Duos, launched late last year. The only real difference the clock speed of the processor; the S Duos has a slower 1GHz CPU. The new S Duos also sports a 4-inch display, but is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. In terms of specifications, not much else has changed from its predecessor.
Galaxy S Duos 2 is here
The smartphone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has 768MB of RAM. Samsung will be offering the S Duos 2 in black and white colour options. There's a 5-megapixel camera on the back and a VGA front shooter. The phone follows the same design language that has been seen on countless Samsung midrangers and entry-level handsets. One good thing is the microSD slot takes in cards up to 64GB in size.
Here's a quick look at the key specifications:
- 4-inch TFT display with 480 x 800 pixels of resolution
- 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
- GPS with A-GPS
- 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera
- 4GB onboard storage, expandable up to 64GB via microSD card slot
The S Duos 2 will have a 1500mAh battery that Samsung says is good for 8 hours of talk time and 280 hours of standby time.
