Heads-up, people with the Galaxy S3! The folks at SamMobile have got their hands on an image of the test firmware Android 4.2.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy S3, and it looks like the update will bring most of the new features we've seen on the Korean company's flagship Galaxy S4. They've also put the firmware image up for download, so check it out if you're the type for flashing ROMs.
The firmware version is I9300XXUFME3 and has the build ID JDQ39. According to SamMobile, the upgrade brings the new S4 lockscreen, complete with multiple widgets, two unlock effects (Ripple and Light), and will also allow users to change the clock size and set a personal message. The new Screen modes from the Galaxy S4 which calibrate the display to suit different needs are also present. Daydream, Driving Mode, and expandable and actionable notifications were all reported to be present. The Settings page has been changed and now gets tabbed interface like the Galaxy S4.

The update reportedly also brings the new S-Voice features we saw on the Galaxy S4, besides allowing users to run Samsung Apps on full screen. Smart Switch widgets allow users to switch to Easy Mode or switch back from it as and when needed. The list of additions also includes being able to control some parts of the phone using voice commands.
We have no idea if the Galaxy S4's camera app and all its extras will come to the S3 with this update, but we do know that Samsung is still testing the Android 4.2.2 update, which will be rolled out for the Galaxy S3 in June.
