It seems like Seagate has heard the prayers and has announced an external hard drive with built-in Wi-Fi. The Hard Drive is called the Seagate ‘GoFlex Satellite’, has 500GB of capacity along with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and a range of 30 meters. All the user needs to do is load his media library onto the Hard Drive and charge it via USB 3.0. Once charged, the device is ready to stream to an iPad/iPhone/iTouch as well other laptops and Android tablets. It can also automatically sync data from a PC or a Mac Computer.
The Seagate Goflex Satellite has up to 5 hours of battery life as well as having 25 hours of standby time. The Goflex Satellite can be accessed from the users device via free app which is downloaded from Apple’s App Store or the Android Market. The Seagate Goflex is currently available in 500GB capacity only and retails for a price of $199.99
