During our CES coverage we very enthusiastically reported about Roxxxy… the world’s first talking, feeling, interactive, personality induced, anatomically accurate female sex robot.
The inventor, Douglas Hines, has now revealed a price – a cool $7000.
Made from hypoallergenic silicone molded over a rigid skeleton, Roxxxy cannot move on her own but can be contorted into almost any natural position. To create her shape, a female model reportedly spent a week posing. Roxxxy apparently is anatomically correct and can even shudder to simulate orgasm.
Roxxxy employs voice-recognition and speech-synthesis software to answer questions and carry on conversations. She even comes loaded with five distinct “personalities,” that can be programmed to suit customers' preferences:
- Frigid Farrah (reserved and shy)
- Wild Wendy (outgoing and adventurous)
- S&M Susan (“ready to provide your pain/pleasure fantasies”)
- Young (“she is oh so young (barely 18) and waiting for you to teach her”)
- Mature Martha (“she is very experienced and would like to teach you”)
The sex doll won't be available for delivery for about several months Hines is taking pre-orders through his Web site, TrueCompanion.com, where he claims that more than 4000 men have signed up.
The robot runs on battery that can last about three hours on one charge. She can be recharged with an electrical cord that plugs into her back.
TrueCompanion also is developing a male sex robot, named Rocky.
