Shaadi.com, the Indian matrimonial website, has launched a game to promote awareness of the troubles that befall and represent the company's stand against dowry. The game is called “Angry Brides” and has been launched on Shaadi.com's Facebook page. The game was conceptualized and designed in-house by the Shaadi.com team.

The game itself has you throw shoes and weapons at men demanding dowry. There is a doctor figure, a pilot and what looks like a contractor that all demand various sums of money, according to the price tag attached to their collar. As you throw the object at them, the amount of money they demand diminishes. You also have a minimum amount to collect before the time runs out. There is also a power meter on the left, which helps you put strength into your shot. The targets move as you throw objects at them and that is a little hard to foresee when you're throwing, but there is no limit to your weapon usage.Your scores can ultimately be Facebook-ed and tweeted.

Shaadi.com says that according to a study conducted by the NCRB in 2007, there is a dowry related death in India every 4 hours. Shaadi.com says they condemn the menace and try to raise awareness via social media campaigns.
