The official website for India’s Union Minister for Communication, Information and Technology was reportedly hacked by the hacker group Anonymous.

The hacked page reportedly read “Kapil Sibal is the world’s biggest retard. Born with a below 60 IQ he thought he could mess with the Internet and let the elite of his party suppress freedom of speech.” (You can check out his official website kapilsibalmp.com here)

Also the Constituency page was replaced with picture of Kapil Sibal on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) answering the question ‘Which of these things can be harmful for the country?’ And the four options listed are Me, Freedom, Me and Me. Freedom was Sibal’s chosen response.

Anonymous claimed responsibility for the attack on their twitter account @opindia_revenge. Check out their tweet here for the attack here:

However, the site has been restored and the messages from Anonymous messages have been removed.

But the site is still not completely functional and some of the links from the home page don’t seem to be working.

Anonymous hacked Sibal’s account over the current furore in India over Section 66A of the Information Technology Act, which has been used to target several people over comments they made on Facebook.
