One definitely won’t miss out mentioning ‘Siri’, while talking about the features of the recently launched iPhone 4S. This most celebrated feature of the latest ‘i’ device has been creating quite a stir in the tech terrain and speculated to even reach other iOS devices. Google’s Eric Schmidt even called it a threat to its core search business. According to AppleInsider, an email from Apple in response to a bug report states that the company plans to keep the feature exclusive to the iPhone 4S, at least for now.
Siri currently not planned for older iOS devices
The email read, “Engineering has provided the following feedback regarding this issue: Siri only works with iPhone 4S and we currently have no plans to support older devices.” Moreover, Siri is still in the testing beta stage and recently faced a wide outage. Apple loyalists with older devices waiting to lay their hands on this voice assistant will either have to wait or simply buy the new iPhone 4S.
