A week back, Skype came out with an app for Symbian^3 phones and have now followed it up with an update for Android devices too. The latest update for Skype lets you carry the app in your microSD card but your tablet or smartphone needs to be running Android v 2.2 Froyo. Another addition to the update is that Skype can be used for Samsung Galaxy S provided the phone is running Froyo.
What seems to be strange is that people who have used the earlier version of Skype don’t seem to be having any problems. Why Skype’s blogs talk about the updated Skype app being compatible with the Galaxy S is something we don’t understand.
You can download the app even if you have a Samsung Galaxy S and in case you do have any problems with the updated app, please feel free to let us know.
