Skype's simplified international calling from all phones, even landlines and rotaries. Users can use Skype to call any number in the world from any phone in the world and the call will go through without any inbetweens like voice greetings. It's part of the Skype To Go service, which Skype originally launched in 2007. Previously, the service allowed Skype users to call one single number and access a voice menu which provided a speed dial list of previously saved numbers. Now the service lets you dial a direct number for individual contacts that acts as a phone number. You can assign up to nine contacts with numbers via this service. These numbers can be called as regular phone numbers, no internet connection required.
Skype To Go allows international dialing from any phone
The service isn't free however, you have to use Skype Credit and/or Subscriptions to avail the service. However, Skype's international calling rates are significantly lower than most regular phone companies'. In addition, if you call from a cell phone, you're responsible for the air time and if you call from a landline, local operator charges. You also get charged Skype's standard connection fee.
