Sony Ericsson will be launching some smartphones for its XPERIA range in February, but the XPERIA Arc won’t be on that list as thought before. They already launched the phone yesterday and here's the lowdown.
The XPERIA Arc has a thin profile as you can see from the video above. It supports IMAP/POP and Exchange email as well as Gmail. Social networks, such as Twitter and Facebook, can be integrated and used for adding contacts. The phone has Adobe Flash 10.1 support for the browser built-in, so media on any web page will be easy to play. The phone has the following features under the hood :
- 4.2-inch FWVGA capacitive multi-touch display
- 3G HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity
- 8.1 megapixel autofocus camera with an LED flash
- 3.5mm jack
The XPERIA Arc will be running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a full suite of Google apps including Google Maps Navigation and Google Search By Voice. Apart from that, the phone can record HD video at 720p and has a built-in HDMI connector.
There is no word as to what the XPERIA Arc will be priced at, but we will provide you with an update when we find out.
