Remember seeing the Sony Ericsson Halon in the news about a month ago? Apart from pictures, there was no word on the specs of the smartphone. Looks like the Halon (aka Vivaz 2 aka MT15i) has been previewed now.
The phone uses a Snapdragon platform and is powered by a 1 GHz Scorpion processor. The graphics for the Halon gets a boost thanks to the Adreno 205 GPU. The in-built 512 MB RAM helps the phone with multitasking, making Vivaz 2 a powerful smartphone.
Although the size of the display screen has not been mentioned, it is still said to be bigger than that of Vivaz (3.2-inch) with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Here’s a small list of what the phone will supposedly feature:
- Touchscreen display with 480 x 854 resolution
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA
- Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP
- 8 MP, with autofocus and LED flash
- Memory expandable up to 32 GB
Apart from these specs, the phone will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it’s also said that the phone will be able to play videos at a 720p resolution.
It’s being said that the phone will retail in April and the price will hover somewhere around €320-350 (approx Rs. 22,000). We certainly hope that Sony Ericsson’s range of phones that they plan to launch before the MWC includes the Halon.
