Post numerous leaks of Sony Ericsson’s yet unannounced handset, Nozomi aka Arc HD, news about another handset from the brand has surfaced, through leaked photos. According to a report by Xperia Blog, the handset is dubbed the MT27i ‘Pepper’ and it is said to be the successor of the Xperia Neo V. Along with images of this prototype handset, the site also has received some specifications revealing its features. There are no physical buttons for Back, Home and Menu instead; they have been replaced with capacitive keys. The handset is said to be running on 1GHz dual-core processor, which they claim is most likely the ST-Ericsson NoveThor U8500 chipset.

Here is a quick look at the other leaked specifications of the Pepper:
- 3.7-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854
- 1GHz dual-core processor
- 5MP rear camera
- 720p HD video recording capabilities
Noise suppression mic at the back
As of now, details regarding this handset are very slim, except for its physical appearance. Unlike the upcoming Nozomi or Nyphon, there is no LED indicator strip for notifications. But, the website states that it features the ‘chin’ feature that is found on the two, upcoming handsets. From the images, we can see that the lens of the camera features an embossed plastic ring and an LED flash just above it. There is a noise suppression microphone as well at the back.
There is no word on availability as yet, but maybe Sony Ericsson may launch the Pepper at CES or if not, at the MWC, which takes place in Barcelona in February.
