One of the most awaited smartphones of January 2014 is the younger sibling of the Xperia Z1, better known as the Z1f. The device has been already topping charts in Japan, and the company might soon launch it for other regions. An official teaser from the Sony reveals that the new Xperia smartphone will make its debut in the Chinese market on January 14.
Xperia Z1 mini coming to China…to be called Z1^s?
The teaser shows a smartphone dipped in black, pink, white and yellow, which also match the colour variants of the Sony Xperia Z1 f. Chinese translation of the teaser reads, “New colour, new mood.” Meanwhile, a new tweet from @evleaks hints that the Xperia Z1 f will be launched as the Z1^s.
The tweet reveals specifications of the Z1^s, which are similar to the Z1 f or better known has the Z1 mini. Earlier rumours also pointed at the possibility that the international variant of the Z1 f would be known as the Z1s.

The Z1 f is powered by a Snapdragon 800 CPU and 20.7MP camera that is seen in the Xperia Z1. The company has reportedly employed a better IPS display that offers improved contrast and colour reprodcution. Some other specs include 4.3-inch 720p display, 2,300mAh battery and 16GB onboard storage.
