Those eagerly awaiting the India launch of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Mini Pro, may have to deal with some disappointment for now. Originally slated for a launch this week, the Xperia Mini Pro’s pre-order listing on Flipkart shows a delayed launch date to that of sometime around the second week of August. At the moment, however, there is no reason that has been specified as the cause of the delay.

The Xperia Mini Pro is an Android v2.3 (Gingerbread)-based smartphone. Essentially a slider phone, the Xperia Mini Pro comes with a QWERTY keypad, which has also been dubbed as smart keyboard by its makers. It sports an LED-backlit LCD, capacitive touch screen, and comes with a 5megapixel camera. Additionally, the Xperia Mini Pro’s specification list mentions that it comes with a microSD card, up to 32GB, which is further expandable to 64GB, Bluetooth, USB support, and is 3G-enabled, too.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro is expected to come with a price tag of Rs. 15,090. Although an exact date for the launch is still unknown, we would like to believe that Sony Ericsson sticks to the schedule, this time around.
