Namco Bandia’s Soul Calibur series is now making its way to iOS devices this January according to Joystiq. This iconic fighting game will be making the transition from consoles to handheld devices with all the game modes except multiplayer. Gamers who pick up the iOS version of this game will be able to choose from 19 fighters as well as modes like “arcade battle, time attack, survival, extra survival, practice, museum modes, time attack, survival and extra survival” all of which are compatible with Game Center's Leader Boards.

Requirements seem a bit steep as this game will only be compatible with newer devices like the iPhone 4, the iPod Touch 4 and the iPad 2. Pricing was not announced at this time. On another note, Soul Calibur V is still on track for its February 3rd release date for the Xbox360 and PS3.
