Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is all set to get a single player demo this month. While PC and Xbox360 owners get to sample the game by the 22nd of August, PS3 owners will have to wait another day till they can slay some Orcs. The demo will feature two levels one of which will be a bloody brawl outside a Munitions factory where players take on hordes of Orcs armed with “six devastating weapons”. The next mission adds a bit of verticality into the mix as players “rain death from above” using the game’s protagonist, Captain Titus’ jetpack.
Kill 'em ALL!
Originally an RTS (Real Time Strategy) franchise, Space Marine is the first time the Warhammer franchise is exploring third person action category fusing both ranged and melee combat. We’re not too sure how this works in the game’s favour but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will release for the Xbox360, PS3 and PC by the 9th of September 2011. PC gamers who pre-order the game will also receive a copy of the most excellent Darksiders as a bonus.
