Team Fortress 2, Valve’s beloved cel-shaded, class-based shooter has received a crazy amount of free support from Valve. It’s no wonder then that this game – even after its three year life cycle – is one of the most popular shooters on the planet. And now Valve need your help in tweaking this game even further, according to Team Fortress' official blog. A public Beta for Team Fortress 2 is underway on Steam and here’s what they need your help with:
- Testing and tuning various class, item, and weapon changes
- Testing map changes and variants
- Running higher level, game-wide experiments (like doubling player health)
- Testing new technologies without the risk of breaking the game
Of course, to participate in the beta you must first own a copy of Team Fortress 2, after which the beta will automatically appear in your game Library. And in case you’re wondering, the Beta brings along with certain changes to the Granary map, “three Natascha variants and miscellaneous balance changes”.
If, for some reason, you were born in 2008 and missed the phenomenon that is Team Fortress 2, kindly head over to our review to see why it is easily “the best class-based online shooter ever!”
