The HTC Droid ERIS which was otherwise paired with Verizon abroad is now available in India thanks to MTS. The smartphone is CDMA-based and is offered along with MTS. The Pulse is available for free with a one-year contract with the CDMA company.

The smartphone runs on Android 2.1, which is slightly dated but, not too bad. It’s powered by a 528 MHz ARM 11 processor and has HTC’s customized Sense UI running on top of the OS. The handset’s screen is encased in Gorilla Glass which makes it pretty much equipped for Indian conditions. Here are the specifications of the Pulse:
