While it hasn't been a while since Angry Birds has been updated, it has been a while since something interesting has happened. All of this past week, they've been making us play a guessing game on Facebook and Twitter on a new feature that would come soon. The teasing all pointed at a new bird. Lo and behold, there's an update for Angry Birds Seasons today and it includes 30 new levels of a Halloween episode (which is what Seasons also started with last year, so they've divided it by 2011 and 2012) and a brand new bird.
The new bird is seemingly innocuous
The new bird looks seemingly innocuous on the shooting rack but once it gets to the pigs, it puffs up like a puffer fish or a balloon when you tap the screen. The idea is to get it in between stacks of wood and stone so as it puffs up, it pushes the stacks aside making them land on pigs. The bird can also break through wood before the screen is tapped so you don't have to worry about dropping it perfectly between stacks. The Angry Birds Seasons update is free for iOS and Android (and other platforms) should come in the next few days.
