The week’s done and the top reviews on tech2 this time round range from AiO PCs, Cameras, mid-range smartphones and even a first-person shooter. Here’s a run-through of reviews this week:
Being one of the first full HD handset powered by a quad core processor and running the latest Android operating system the Wammy Passion Z seems to be a steal priced at Rs 14,990. The phone is recommendable to those seeking a decently performing handset with a crisp and clear display. Till Micromax, Spice and Karbonn come up with handsets in this range, Wammy Passion Z from Wicked Leak will still be flying high in the budget sector.
The A2500 is snappier and the overall imaging quality is a notch better than that of the Nikon’s offering, the Coolpix L28. It’s also more fun to use with a raft of effect filters you get. The quality of video recording is also better and the option to use optical zoom while recording videos is a bonus. Although the provision of optical IS would have been nice, the A2500 is still good value for money.

The Transformer AiO is a great concept, but it’s a bit too large. It would have been nicer if the display was a 12-inch tablet and the PC Station was one-third the size with the same configuration. In that case, the tablet would have made more sense as a portable device.
Metro: Last Light is definitely one of the finest games to have come out this year, despite all the problems that 4A games faced and the Ranger Mode DLC. The game tries a wide variety of things, and pulls them off spectacularly. The DLC and a couple of technical issues aside, Last Light is well worth its Rs 999 asking price on the PC.
Coming at an MRP of Rs 17,999, the E3 is a bit steeply priced. The handset is a good looking one and the slim form factor and rugged shell with a vibrant display along with a fluid user interface make the E3 seem like it is worth the price. In terms of looks and performance, the Gionee E3 is definitely recommended, but on the price front, the Xolo Q700, which features similar specs, wins the deal hands down.
