Transcend announced today the release of their line of high-performance memory kits, aimed at customers looking at P55 and X58 motherboards, or the upcoming P67 Sandy Bridge motherboards.
The aXeRam TX2000KLN series of dual channel kits come in kits of 4GB (4GK), 6GB (6GK) and 8GB (8GK) at clock frequencies of 2000Mhz, and the TX2400KLN tri-channel kit comes in 4GB at a clock frequency of 2400Mhz. The timing also differs, with the 4GK, 6GK and 8GK kits at 9-11-9-24 and the TX2400KLN-4GK kit at 9-11-9-28. These kits are aimed at gamers, overclockers and professional users – those who’ll utilize them in various memory-hungry applications such as HD video editing, large databases and virtual server farms.
According to Mr. Gordon Wu, Regional Head – South Asia, Transcend, “64-bit processors have become mainstream in mid-range and high-end systems due to their ability to support memory capacities larger than 4GB, which is essential for memory-hungry applications such as HD video editing, large databases, virtual server farms, etc. With 8GB of total capacity, a clock frequency of 2000MHz and timings of 9-11-9-24, our newly released dual-channel kit is a comprehensive memory upgrade solution—especially for systems with modern processors running more advanced operating systems.”
The kits and their prices are as follows:
