Twitter put up the big yellow banner on the timelines of users who were using the old version, saying that the old version's going to go away soon. Now, without being any more ominous, they tweeted that the change will happen this week. “If you’re currently using Old Twitter, we want to let you know that you’ll be upgraded to New Twitter this week,” the company announced. The retirement of the old version of Twitter comes nearly a year after the launch of the new version.
