UPDATE: We've finally, finally received an official press release from HTC about the Indian launch of the Desire HD, along with an official price. Before you guys get started, we know the phone has been available for ages now, but HTC had contined to stay silent about the phone, which has now ended. The phone is priced at Rs. 26,990 (MOP).
The Desire HD is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocking at 1 GHz and the graphics gets a boost thanks to the Adreno GPU. The smartphone will be running Android Froyo with the HTC Sense User Interface on top. Let’s take a look under the hood of the Desire HD:

- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, HSDPA, HSUPA, A-GPS
- Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP
- 8 Megapixel camera with Dual LED Flash and Autofocus
- Memory expandable up to 32 GB
- Stereo FM radio with RDS
- 3.5 mm audio jack
The run-of-the-mill features of the Desire HD include an Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor and a Digital Compass. The smartphone’s camera can shoot HD videos in 720p. Apart from that, the Desire HD also has integrated Facebook and Twitter applications and Google Search, Maps and Gmail.
