Oh well, this shouldn’t be surprising really. Remember we told you about Samsung coming out with Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Suit yesterday? We’ve just found out that the Galaxy Ace will come to India as Cooper.
According to a Thai website MXPhone, Samsung’s handset which will be hitting the Mobile World Congress next month, should be releasing in Thailand, India and other South Asian countries. Although we couldn’t hit up on the correct specifications of the phone, we’ve found a whole list on the site.
The phone runs on Android 2.2 Froyo and has a TouchWiz UI on top. It might be some hard work for the 800 MHz processor, but let’s leave that for our reviewer. A list of the specs are as follows:
- 3.5-inch 320×480 HVGA Touch Screen
- HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, A-GPS
- Bluetooth 2.1
- 5 Megapixel Camera with Autofocus and LED Flash
- Memory expandable up to 32 GB
The Galaxy Cooper features Social Hub which lets you integrate your Social Networking sites, emails, instant messenger and calendar accounts. The video capability of the phone boasts of playing mpeg4, H.263 and H.264 formats.
The phone was listed at a price of 10,900 Thai Baths which roughly translates to Rs. 16,200. Release dates are not finalized but we should see the Galaxy Cooper pretty soon.
Samsung Galaxy Ace is now official, head on to their Indonesian website for all the specs and images. It shouldn't be too long for the phone to release out in India now, but we'll let you know as and when we get the confirmation about the phone.
