A short while back, we had the iMovement event at the Tech2.com labs where a whole bunch of people from our office got to test the brand new Playstation Move. It seemed like they were having a blast, but don’t take our word for it. Here’s what some of them had to say about the Move.
Ankush Sohoni: It’s pretty cool. The motion was responsive with a very small learning curve which is more or less taken care of during the calibration. Playing the Move was a lot of fun for me, especially since I played against an opponent. I can imagine that with more titles, the Move will definitely kill the Wii.
Padmini Harchandrai: In terms of gameplay, I think the Wii is better. The Move’s claim to fame is that it registers your entire body’s movements, which is cool, but it takes the fun away. The bulb on top is distracting is as well.
Mehul Thakkar: I played table tennis, and it is as real as playing an actual game, because you're actually swinging the remote around like a real racket. You don’t sweat, but you actually feel like you’ve exercised your muscles.
Dan Picardo: I have the move at home, and I have played the Wii several times, and it comes nowhere to the Move. The one is to one precision is way better with the Move. The hardware is awesome, but there aren’t too many titles to choose from. I’m hoping they release more stuff soon, as I'm really looking forward to playing more.
Jai Wadhwani: I felt it was very smooth, and surreal although it took me a little while to map it to how one would play a game of Table Tennis with the Move controller. I also believe that you need a fairly large screen to actually live the game as it looks more lifelike this way.
Ajay Ghate: It was a very nice experience, and was very realistic. It didn’t feel like I was playing it on a console, and it felt like I was actually playing a game.
So there you have it. Now get ready for the grand finale that is going to take place on Sunday, 31st October at Phoenix Mills, Lower Parel.
