There are rumours that Microsoft might show off the Windows 8 tablet sometime in the middle of 2011. There’s a good possibility that such a appearance might be during the yearly Computex expo in Taiwan. Windows 8, although a desktop OS is also being designed as a tablet interface. The demonstration might also be on a tablet, rather than on a desktop.
Windows 8 : an appearance is expected at Computex this year
Some web sites have to have reported that a second phase of development would be completed sometime soon and the third phase would begin sometime in March this year. Two beta builds followed by the release candidate are expected soon after. The OS will be based on the same basics of the interface first introduced on the Windows Phone 7 OS. The final release is only said to be out sometime in early 2013. Windows 8 is said to effective use new technologies such as USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0 along with face recognition features integrated into the OS. Microsoft currently isn’t present in the mobile tablet OS space whereas mainstream media tablets is concerned. The majority of the market is currently consumed by Android and Apple’s iOS iPads.
