WordPress blog owners, your blogs can have special iPad friendly versions. The site's 18 million blogs are now available with with features like touch interaction and customization on the iPad. The iPad optimized view is app-like in nature but is basically worked with HTML5 on the backend. It supports touch interactions, swiping, rotation and many other iPad functions. The company behind WordPress, Automattic, has worked closely with a New York based startup, Onswipe on this project.

Some other features in this iPad optimized format can be accessed from the Appearance -> iPad tab in the dashboard. You can have the theme choose an image from a recent post as its cover, upload a logo to showcase your brand on the cover, upload an image to be used as a loading graphic when visitors add your site to their home screen, you can switch fonts, choose from 9 different colours and enable or disable the whole thing. When you tap to view a post, you see the full content as well as a commenting interface and ability to share the post over the social networks.
