Microsoft’s first update for the Windows Phone 7 smartphone platform has been in the news for a few months now, for good reasons or bad. And after european ROMs, with the NoDo update, for HTC’s WP7 offerings were leaked a few days ago, it seems that the update is finally rolling out, albeit a bit slowly.
NoDo is a NoGo NoLonger
According to Winrumors, Microsoft has begun rolling out the update for sim-free, unbranded WP7 phones, but it’ll take a while before it carrier locked devices get the update. Well, there have been no carrier locked WP7 devices released here in India anyway, so we should see the update hit our shores soon.
The update, which was due to release in the first two weeks of March, was delayed due to a series of problems encountered by an earlier, minor update which was supposed to make future updates easier. So much for that, I suppose.
