Sony Ericsson’s latest smartphone that’s touted to be the company’s first dual-core processor powered handset has made another appearance. Again this hasn’t been confirmed, but the Xperia Duo looks more real, than mythical. The last time we saw the handset, the photo looked a lot more of a Photoshop work than an actual picture. Not that this one looks like a sure shot confirmation, but there’s no harm in being speculative.
More evidence of its existence
According to what a source (and the picture) says, the Xperia Duo will have a big display area. It should probably boast of a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen (the Xperia Arc has a 4.2-inch display), but that will not increase the bulk of the handset. Rather the bezel around the screen will be very slim and this definitely means that Sony Ericsson will retain the slim form-factor that the Xperia Arc had.
A few more specifications of the Xperia Duo have also been doing the rounds. Apparently, the smartphone could boast of an 8 megapixel camera with Sony’s Exmor R sensor and have capabilities to record videos in Full HD 1080p. It’s also being said that the handset might be announced in Q4 this year, but like always these are just speculations.
