For people who spend hours and hours together on Facebook growing oranges and lemons, and raising pink ponies, Zynga's balanced out the agricultural living with CityVille as per sources .
In CityVille, you play mayor (or a “city manager”) and build your own city from scratch. It uses achievements that are similar to the ones in FarmVille and FrontierVille, which are also popular Zynga titles. Something like Age of Empires (without the wars that is), CityVille allows you to create cities teeming with people, where you balance different resources like tending to jobs, paying for energy, etc. The game also has a social benefit, in the way that players would have to build relations with neighboring cities for their own city's good.
“CityVille is where Monopoly meets Main Street,” said the game's general manager Sean Kelly. “Instead of harvesting crops you're harvesting your neighborhood; instead of clearing your friends' frontier you're working on a friend's franchise,” Kelly said, referring to the title as Zynga's most social game to date.
